Mr. Rafal Baniak, Vice Minister of Economy (Poland), graduated from the Faculty of Economics, Department of Economy and Public Administration at the Cracow University of Economics. In 2002-2004 adviser and counsellor to the Vice-President of the Council of Ministers, the Minister of Economy, Labour and Social Policy. In 2004-2005 Vice Minister of Labour and Social Policy. Earlier, a member of the European Committee of the Council of Ministers. In 2006, Director in the Polish Confederation of Private Employers "Lewiatan". A member of the Tri-partite Commission for Socio-Economic Issues and the Committee for Social Dialogue. Appointed also the adviser and deputy to the General Director of the Confederation of Polish Employers. Held the office of the Secretary of the Tri-partite Commission for Socio-Economic Issues. In office since December 2007. Interested in economic policy, social security, European integration and non-governmental organizations.
