Bernardo Fort-Brescia (FAIA) founder Arquitectonica in 1977. He earned a Bachelor of Architecture and Urban Planning degree from Princeton University and a Master of Architecture degree from Harvard University. In addition to teaching and lecturing at the Harvard School of Urban Design, Mr. Fort-Brescia has lectured around the world and his work has been exhibited in numerous prominent museums throughout the United States and Europe. Bernardo leads the design team and process for all Arquitectonica projects, ensuring design excellence and quality throughout the project.

Arquitectonica is an architecture, planning, landscape, interiors firm founded as a Miami based experimental studio in 1977. Led by founder-principal Bernardo Fort-Brescia (FAIA) the studio evolved into a worldwide practice, combining the creative spirit of the principals with the efficient delivery and reliability of a major architectural firm. Arquitectonica's international practice is directed from its New York and Miami HQ, supported by design offices in 12 worldwide locations, including Europe and Asia's regional HQ; Hong Kong and Paris. Arquitectonica has developed its practice over three decades, winning numerous American Institute of Architects and Progressive Architecture Design Awards. In testimony to the longevity of the firm's work, Arquitectonica has won the AIA Test of Time Award for the Banco de Credito Headquarters, The Atlantis and the Pink House. The Smithsonian Institution Cooper-Hewitt Design Museum mounted an exhibit on the firm focusing on The Westin New York at Times Square project.
