2010 has been forecast as the year of recovery for Europe's economies and property markets alike, but the nature of the support now underpinning many of those economies has created great uncertainty as to what will happen next. These are uncharted waters for the investment world, with some asset prices - arguably including property - having been impacted by short-term stimuli, and state finances entering a critical phase in many parts of Europe.
Ben Broadbent, Chief UK Economist at Goldman Sachs will examine the strength of Europe's economic foundations, and Barbara Knoflach, Chief Executive Officer at SEB Asset Management, Germany, will respond with her view of European property's prospects in a challenging period for occupational demand and the evolution of credit conditions across the continent.
